“PLEASURE OF PLANNING!”
Welcome to this edition of my newsletter!
Anything that needs to be done can be done much better with prior planning. But spending too much time planning often leads to inaction.
The problem is spending so much of time on planning things neatly!
Planning releases dopamine, making us feel like we’ve accomplished something—when in reality, we’ve only mapped out what could be done.
That’s why you must consciously limit the time you spend planning.
Instead get to action, irrespective of the intensity, get to action – get started with the thing you want to do!
Action beats the perfect plan every time.
You won’t produce the best work just because you have the best plan at hand , Yes – better planning helps in improving the result, but first you need to produce some results then you can think of improving them
I remember a quote from Atomic Habits by James clear, it says
“A habit must be established before it can be improved. You need to master the art of showing up”
So, you need to show up every time instead of just planning and do the actual work irrespective of the quality of your outputs. The more you produce, the better you’ll get.
Iterate. Improve. Repeat.
If you only plan, nothing gets done. If you act, everything moves forward.
So, just make sure to get started and repeat it multiple times until it becomes a habit and then you can plan to improve it!
And here’s a secret—when something is fun, it becomes easier to do. So, add an element of fun to your process. Make the work itself enjoyable rather than getting lost in the pleasure of planning.
Here is a simple quote from me
Iterate and it gets improved
Just plan and it never gets done
So just don’t get swayed away by the pleasure of planning
Jump in and get the actual work done!
and this edition is a reminder to myself: don’t get trapped in the illusion of productivity—get to work!
Hope this resonated with you! See you next week!

My Week in Pictures! 📸
In this section, I share my week in pictures, for those who prefer pictures over text.
I view this part as a combination of journaling and a visual diary of my personal experiences. My days often follow a repetitive pattern, yet each experience brings a unique perspective.
I will try to update/replace this section with something fresh – Loading in Progress!
