I want to talk about one of the wonderful experience I had this year.

Owning a home. It’s an experience that’s nothing short of transformative, one that fills you with a sense of pride and accomplishment. This year, I had the privilege of going through this journey, and I want to share just how special and wholesome it was.

Owning a home has always been more than just a milestone for me. it’s a symbol of stability and responsibility. Finally we realised this dream. It wasn’t easy, but the struggles made it even more meaningful. Here’s why I believe owning a house makes sense, especially in today’s world.

The process itself was a Roller coaster – dealing with multiple vendors, going through endless negotiations, and managing the countless small details that come with buying a house. requires attention to detail at many places, demands your supervision at all times but at the heart of it, this experience truly tested my patience, resilience, and ability to make things happen. It was a true testimony of my patience when things didn’t go as per the expectations. It wasn’t just about the transactions; it was about the emotional and mental strength required to turn a dream into a reality. at the end of the day, hard work pays off!

Parents feel super proud

For my parents, owning a house is a milestone. My parents have been my greatest supporters, sacrificing so much to ensure we had a good life. Buying a house was my way of giving back to them, It’s the kind of achievement that makes them feel super good and satisfied. You could be earning in crores, but at the end of the day, money is silent. The assets? They speak loud and clear. The world listens to that. A home isn’t just an address, it’s a symbol of your hard work, your growth, and your journey.

You can call it a Home

What really stands out is the shift from renting to owning.
For years, we have lived in rented places moving from one place to another.
From the simple point that you can’t drill a hole in Rented house
to decorating the house the way you wish – You can call it a Home!
It’s a space where I can make memories with my family, decorate the walls with our stories, and host celebrations without restrictions.
These small but profound changes are what make a House a Home. When you own it, you truly feel like you’re in control of your space. It’s yours.

You are the Owner

Coming from a middle-class background, starting from zero, having no backups, developing the power to own something this significant feels incredible. It fills me with a sense of pride and accomplishment that’s hard to put into words. And, let’s not forget, it’s a solid financial move.

It’s a Celebration

And then, there’s the celebration. The housewarming. Other than marriage, you won’t really get another opportunity to bring all your closed ones for celebration, all your well-wishers will be very happy about your progress and growth!
Of course, there will be some uncle-aunty’s who will be jealous of your growth, but invite them too. Make them feel good because, trust me, *nazar* is real.

Good Financial Move

Some people will tell you that renting is more cost-effective in the long run. They might even break down the numbers and show you how owning a house isn’t always the best financial decision. But, here’s the thing: if it makes you feel good, if it makes your parents proud, go for it. Sometimes, financial sense takes a backseat to emotional satisfaction – and that’s okay.

To be honest, nobody ever got poor by owning a home. The price of land appreciates over time, and that alone can offset the depreciation of the building. Renting may save you some amount now, but at what cost? It was the dream of a lifetime for our parents to own a house and you want to save some amount instead of realising their dream?

The happiness that comes from seeing the joy on your parents’ faces, from knowing you’ve given them something they’ve always dreamed of. It’s priceless.
physiological satisfaction can’t be equated with the Financial Returns!

Let’s not forget one of the best parts of owning a house: the home loan. If you’ve got a good CIBIL score, there’s nothing more affordable than a home loan. Whether it’s commercial, business, or personal, there’s no interest rate as low as that on a home loan. It’s a great deal if you can get it.

If you analyse it thoroughly, It makes sense in all possible ways to own a house / Invest in House.

When done right, it’s not just an emotional decision; it’s a smart one too.

I feel very fortunate enough to undergo this experience and deeply grateful about it!

If you can do it, you should do it!
Not everybody gets the urge to do it!
Not everybody gets the courage to go after it!
