Atharv’s Chronicle 31-01-2025 “COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!”

“COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!”

Welcome to this edition of my newsletter!

We are living in such a world where there is extreme of things regarding each aspect!
If we consider life as a spectrum, we can witness the experiences at both the ends of the spectrum, Let us walk through few of the scenarios!

#1
If you consider work, there are people making thousands of dollars irrespective of their skills
and at the other end of the spectrum – there are people who are finding it very hard even to make the ends meet irrespective of having great talent and skills!

#2
If you consider Financing, Recently I read about a case where women had to sell her kidney and her 9 year old kid’s kidney as well to pay the interest for a loan of 50,000 rs – latest micro finance case – I felt shameful about the incident. and at the other end of the spectrum – there are people who have taken crores of rupees of loan and eloped from India and still having a lavish lifestyle.

#3
A single command from a commanding officer : Team Alpha – Emergency, Get ready for an attack in next 5 minutes, and you should be ready in next 5 minutes and the time is just 1.50AM
That’s how a life of an army man goes by! Yes, he has chosen this by abandoning spending a quality time with his loved ones, with his kids, wife, parents and choose to stand in the extreme cold weather at the highly death prone area to… serve a country!
and here we are complaining about just 2 days off per week is not enough
and there are people who find it difficult to wake up on time to go to job!
and there are people who complain logging in from home, Mann, what are you upto?
Salute to the soldier!

#4
if your observe closely, there are crores of families in India, in which they never get to see a trace of a crore rupees in their lifetime, man – they will die never witnessing so much money
even together from 3-4 generations, they wouldn’t have come across a crore rupeess

and at the other end of the spectrum – Ambani son wearing a watch worth 2 cr rupees and he has couple of them like that!

#5
iCare expert, just softly offers an apple care worth 25k for two years as an addition to recently purchased 16 pro max, and the customer who bought it happily accepts the offer for the phone’s safety and pay for it in a single transaction – deal done, all good – okay!
On the other end, A daily wage worker buys a phone worth 10k for his college going child and takes 12 months EMI at 16% rate of interest, and ends up missing an EMI and he has a bad credit score now!

#6
A middle class guy struggling to pay the hospital bill for his father’s MRI scanning which costs around 10k which is a very big amount for him because his salary is only 18000 per month and he has numerous commitments to fulfil each month!
On the other end of the spectrum – people getting the plastic surgery done to look more beautiful which costs a lakh and a above easily!

Do you think anything rational about these incidents?
You mayn’t, because there is a disparity at everything in life and You can’t question anybody!
you can’t look at life with a same spectacle, you have to embrace different perspectives to look at life’s beauty!

Yes, I agree
everyone’s life is different, each situation is different
but is there something which we can learn out of this?

Yes, it’s not about whether life is fair or unfair
who is right or who is wrong
who has got more privileges and who has not
if your just go on listing how life is not fair, you can find countless reasons
if your just go on listing how life is fair, how grateful you can be, you can find countless reasons again! (try counting your blessings once)

It’s just your choice how you want to look at your life!
its really beautiful when you count your blessings!

Yes, we might be living somewhere in between of the spectrum, able to make the ends meet, able to pay the EMI’s, able to spend a quality time with our loved ones, able to sit at the comfort of our home for work, able to afford and eat a healthy food, able to take care of our parents, able to earn, able to go on vacations etc, etc!
Just be grateful about it, when you are grateful, life unfolds in a much beautiful way!

If you ask me, everyone’s goal should be to move from lower end of the spectrum (consider wherever you are as the starting point) to the higher end of the spectrum, main reason being, out of all the living creatures, only Human Beings can evolve and We all should Evolve!

There is so much to life, Keep moving by counting your blessings, and Evolve!

I hope you gained some insights from reading this, See you next week!

Quote of the week 💬

I saw a quote that said, “don’t be afraid to start over again. This time, you’re not starting from scratch, you’re starting from experience.” And I think everyone needs to hear this.

Learning of the Week 📝

You can find enough reasons to not start that one thing you always wanted to start!

But Look for that one reason which took away your sleep and hold onto it till you get started!

My Week in Pictures! 📸

In this section, I share my week in pictures, for those who prefer pictures over text.

I view this part as a combination of journaling and a visual diary of my personal experiences. My days often follow a repetitive pattern, yet each experience brings a unique perspective.

Bit different this time!

I suffer from paradox of choices, I take a lot of time to choose the images and write captions!

so let it be without images and I will see how it goes!
