#57. Atharv’s Chronicle : 15-09-2026 AI Advancement in Real Time

Humans process about 6,000 thoughts a day.
That’s 42,000 a week and around 1.8 lakh a month.

But a thought is not the same as intelligence. Counting so many thoughts tells us volume, but not judgement, creativity or meaning. AI can process thoughts. but what it’s still chasing is the true ability of human

So for AI to replace humans completely, it needs to learn these patterns and process these thoughts.

Many of them are junk, repetitive or not so useful, but AI needs to learn those patterns too.

And it is learning them right now. We are in the AI training stage, and we should leverage it.

It takes time, but the clock is faster now

Complete training takes time. Remember, the first smartphone prototype appeared in 1992 and the first commercial one launched in 1994. It took almost 20 years to reach 20% global penetration. Today it is at around 68%.

We are not in that age anymore. A new invention can now reach millions within minutes.

As of today, Generative AI has reached a 53% global population adoption rate within three years. That is massive growth from 2022, the breakout year when generative AI tools went mainstream. The Stanford AI Index notes that adoption is spreading at historic speed, and consumers are getting real value from tools they often use for free.

Reaching a true 100% global adoption is statistically rare for any technology. But consumer AI is projected to reach practical saturation, roughly 90%-95% of the addressable internet-connected population, within the next 3 to 5 years (2029-2031). [add source]

The Consumer AI Market is expected to grow from $102.3 billion in 2024 to $635.9 billion by 2034, at a CAGR of about 20%.

And yet, human intelligence still matters

Our human intelligence has not lost its value. It still has meaning, and we can still make it big and make it happen.

Don’t get swayed by the AI rush. Be the shovel seller in the gold rush.
Learn to use AI to your convenience and make the best of it.
Always remember it is built by us, humans, and it can’t completely surpass human intelligence.
It may surpass our collective general knowledge, but we will always have an edge for being real. Take that privilege and create something great.

AI replaces tasks, not human judgement and originality. It can write the first draft, crunch the numbers, or generate a hundred options. But deciding which option is right, why it matters, and what to do next is still ours.

We still have time before AI could replace humans completely, so let’s use it well.

Using ChatGPT is not “using AI”

Chatting with ChatGPT or generating a Ghibli-style image is not really using AI.
Nooo, that is maybe 1% of it.

AI can do wonders if we know how to use it.
We can use it to automate so many processes.
We can use it to solve real business problems.
We can use it to create, invent and ideate.
We can bring our imagination to life.
And so much more. Learn to use it as leverage, and make it big

But stay mindful
We are handing our data to systems all the time.
Our data is being compromised.
Our actions are being watched.
Our thoughts are being captured.
Our ideas are being borrowed.
Our interests are being influenced.
Know this, be mindful of your data and thoughts, and consume and share them consciously!

So where does this leave us?

AI is learning fast, adoption is racing ahead, and the market is exploding. But the real story is not AI versus humans. It is people who use AI versus people who don’t.

Someone said AI could take your job in the next 10 years. Not really. The person who knows how to use AI will take over your job.

So train yourself, stay curious, guard your data and use it to reap the maximum benefits. The shovels are in your hands. What you dig is up to you.
